Doggone Good:
Keeping It Real:

Hello,
I was sad, lonely, depressed, I found myself staring aimlessly out the glass door hoping to see a squirrel, a cat, a dog, an ant, even a leaf, just anything at all that was moving across the yard! I found myself thinking about making a break for it the next time I saw an open door and running away to just about anywhere. I tried to think of all the good old times when she used to work at home all the time and let me sit on her lap in front of something that looked like the television for hours on end...but now she left every day early in the morning right after she fed me. I tried not eating right away to keep her around, but that ploy did not work...she left anyway and just reduced my portions! All of a sudden an idea hit me! There must be a lot more dogs out there like me all over, home alone, lonely, and needing a friend... For a while I hung around her and whined and got her to put me in her lap when she was at her desk, so I could get a good view of what she did in front of that screen. At first I started logging on and looking at all those Match.com sites for pets needing owners...just for fun and out of boredom. You know how it goes; I logged on during the day and met some cool friends online, and I chatted off and on during the day with pals from all over when she wasn't home. Soon though, I found that I could hardly wait for her to leave so I could get to my favorite sites and start blogging with my pals! I must admit; I was hooked; I was addicted! I was truly a dog "gone to the dogs"! My dawgs and I talked daily about a lot of stuff... like our toys, if we had the run of the house, had we attended school aka "obedience training" and its results, had we ever bitten anyone for anything, were we happy and well taken care of by our owners, did we have problems or issues, where did we sleep, how often did we go to the vet, did we ever go to a park just for dogs, did we hate cats, but our conversations always would come back to our favorite place, the kitchen, and our favorite smells and eats and treats. Voila! Another idea! I would start a blog! No, it would not be just a site for blogging, but I could create an entire website where my online pals and I could "talk" about all our stuff and help each other and our owners with issues...and we could also share some of our favorite Canine Cuisine and People eats and treats with each other via the super e-highway. I envisioned an internet cafe website with my name: Cafe BoJangles was rapidly taking shape in my mind. I knew I would need help, so I started recruiting from online acquaintances. I first approached my main online pal, who happened to be a big-boned gal named Lovey Labrador (Charlottesville, VA.), and asked her if she would like to work with me in an editorial capacity in order to launch Cafe BoJangles.

NEWS I will be unable to work in my cafe' for about nine months. I cannot talk about my assignment, but I can tell you it is important. I will be leaving at any time. Hopefully my staff will carry on without me. Stay safe! CIAO! |
